In a concerted effort to promote menstrual hygiene and food security, North West MEC for Social Development Basetsana Sussana Dantjie will on Wednesday, (14 August 2024) embark on a dignified distribution of sanitary towels and food parcels to deserving learners and the residents of Moeka village in Moretele Local Municipality.

MEC Dantjie will handover dignity packs to learners from Lobang High School in Mmukubyanne, and Badumedi Secondary school at Cyferskuil village.

Dantjie’s day long programme will also feature a dialogue session, bringing together female and male participants to share perspectives and feedback on addressing the community’s socio-economic and psychosocial challenges, with a focus on menstrual hygiene management and food security. This collaborative discussion aims to identify practical solutions and foster a deeper understanding of the community’s needs.

MEC Dantjie’s activities will unfold as follows:
